Guildhall Wedding Fair

What better place to tie the knot than Worcester’s historic Guildhall?

The Guildhall is hosting its first ever Wedding Fayre on Sunday 7 October from 10.00am to 3.30pm.

One of the focal points for the event will be a Catwalk Show at midday, where local volunteers will model a range of bridal wear and suits for grooms.

Over 30 local firms will be showcased at the event, including Perfections Bridal Studio, The Bridal Boutique of Worcester, Armstrongs tailors and suit hire, Gatehouse Brides and LaceWings Bridal Boutique.

As an additional incentive, interested parties attending the event will be entered in to a draw to win the free hire of Guildhall rooms for their wedding ceremony.

250 free goodie bags will also be given away on a first come, first served basis, including a number of wedding-related freebies and vouchers.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to view all the rooms and facilities at the Guildhall and have questions answered by friendly and experienced staff.

The City Council has a licence to conduct wedding ceremonies, civil partnership ceremonies and naming ceremonies at the Guildhall.

With its impressive décor dating back to 1721, it is a perfect venue for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.  There are six rooms available for hire – including the opulent Assembly Room, Court Room and Council Chamber.

The Guildhall can cater for small, intimate weddings through to functions for up to 200 guests.
